Injuries should force these Patriots players to step up Week 16 vs. Broncos

FOXBORO — If the Patriots’ offensive conservatism at the end of last week’s loss to the Chiefs left you feeling irritable, then it be best to skip this week’s game against the Broncos lest it ruin your holiday.Head coach Bill Belichick said Sunday that injuries were partially to blame for the Patriots’ lack of tempo late in the game when they trailed by 10 points with four minutes left in the game and backed up to their own 1-yard line.By that time, left guard Cole Strange and tight end Hunter Henry had left with injuries, and left tackle Conor McDermott – filling in for Trent Brown – was out with a concussion.Based on early returns in practice, it seems likely the Patriots will be going into Denver without those three players.Related ArticlesNew England Patriots | Patriots running back Kevin Harris ready for bigger opportunity on 53-man roster New England Patriots | QB Nathan Rourke unsure of Patriots plan but excited f...Police searching for missing 12-year-old in Mississauga

Against 6NT West led the ten of spades: king, ace. Declarer won the spade return and cashed the three top diamonds. When West discarded a spade, South tried the top clubs. This time East threw a heart, and declarer took only 11 tricks.HURRYSouth was too quick to test the minor suits. After he wins the second spade, he can cash a third spade; East pitches a heart. South then takes his three heart tricks, and West discards a spade.Next, South takes the high clubs. When East discards another heart, South has a complete count: West had five spades, four clubs and two hearts, hence two diamonds. So South can take the ace of diamonds, unblocking dummy’s ten, and lead a diamond to the king...Latest news
